hal.dll - Here is the scoop on Hal Library as it pertains to computer network security. The big question: what is hal.dll and is it spyware, a trojan and if so, how do I get rid of Hal Library?
hal.dll (Hal Library) - Details
The file hal.dll, is required for windows to operate. It is used by windows when communicating with your computer's harware. It acts as a translator between windows and your hardware, so that the same windows 'commands' can be executed on hardware manufactured by a variety of different vendors. If hal.dll is unavailable, windows will not function correctly.
hal.dll is flagged as a system process and does not appear to be a security risk. However, removing Hal Library may adversly impact your system.
The Process Server database currently registers hal.dll to Microsoft.
This is part of Microsoft Windows.
Whenever you have a concern about a file like hal.dll, feel free to visit our Anonymous Surfing section to help verify your file you are not giving away too much personal information.
The Process Server database is updated often, but inaccuracies may still exist, often caused by viruses named after valid files such as Hal Library. Always verify your results just to play it safe.
