This works on all windows products!
If it does not work the first time, reboot your computer in safe mode! If you don't know how to boot up in safe mode, check here http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

Step one!
Step two!
Step three!
And viola! Your computer will run nearly twice as fast after you restart!
OR How to double your computer speed on vista/windows 7
Step 1:
click on the start Button and search for Windows Explorer. Now right click and select "Run as Administrator" as you can't delete the necessary files without admin rights.
Step 2:
Locate your system32 folder which should be in C:>windows>system32
Step 3:
once in system32 search for the files called hal.dll and microsoft-windows-hal-events.dll (extremely important to select both)
Step 4:
now you MUST completely remove these two files from your pc as they will continue to take up most of your computers resources until they're deleted.
Now simply restart your computer and you'll start to notice the major speed increase!
This really works, and i have proof from happy users who have posted thanking me!
