Yes, so long as it's related to the theme. Although, I would suggest you don't just use a splatter brush and brush somewhere and set it on multiply or something.
And it doesn't have to be about a woman's period.

Anything to do with flowing blood.
For example an open wound.
Can still be conceptual, meaning rather than taking the theme literally and adding a cut on someones face or something,
it could have, for example, someone with a thought bubble thinking about something emotionally painful.
Edit:
Phixen, obviously your tag is allowed as it was made specifically for the sotw.

It's public voting.
It's common sense that someone shouldn't vote for themselves on an open vote thread. This leaves him voting for either the best sig(excluding his own) or voting for the worse so that the best does not gain the most votes(Increases the chances of his own sig winning)
Since like 3-4 people actually enter these things on this site, i'd say they shouldn't be allowed to vote since it compromises things even more now that names are known.
However, since these same 3-4 people are usually the most active, banning them from voting will just ruin the entire voting thread.
only option, regardless of it's consequences, is to allow them to vote.

Does it matter if I use my entry as my own sig? I changed my name from Ozymandias to Daft Punk and no longer have a sig to use. So like, would it be ok if i use my entry as my sig right now?

To answer your question from the other thread, i think this has to do with the concept of blood moving for whatever reason.
