I would never wish for immortality however I would like for the aging process to be slowed down.

Eventually we'll have our brains backed up on hard drives, and bodies will be expendable.
Like Ghost in the Shell.

I'd never want immortality, I'd be raped by the beings that come after homo sapiens evolve. After what, a few hundred thousand years of enjoyment, I'd just be locked up in an institution and studied. Even if not, I'd still be lonely, like.. uh, have you ever read/watched Elfen Lied?
Anyway, what's your definition of immortality?

No. It is a ludicrous notion.

Agreed. Doubt it will happen, although the life span will most likely increase over time as technology becomes more and more advanced.

| Won't ever happen, and our population would rapidly fly out of control worse than it already is.

Living forever would fucking suck, you would see your entire family die, you would see everyone you know and loved die and know you could never do shit about it.

@chuck norris & helios, People you know will die anyway. Plus, if you are immortal, I assume they would be as well.

| I'm pretty sure you could die as computers. A better idea would be choosing when you died.

Clone 1000 babies, nurture them for 20 years and make them healthy, then replace your brain with one when you feel sick xD
Also tribes in deep places of Iran have a basic life span of 100+

Why would I believe in it? I don't think we need it, living and dying is apart of life. Instead of wishing for immortality because your life is boring or not good, do something about it.

I'd only wish something as sick and twisted as immortality on my enimies.
You wish to see all your friends die in front of you as you stay on the earth? Watch your parents die, your children die, the children of your children etc...
...Really?
