Well everytime i google for one i get usb flash drives. I need to boot a vista install from my sd card. I have the contents on the base of the card. I just need to know how to do this.

Hmm, well when your computer starts up you enter BIOS, and choose whatever your SD card is called to boot before other stuffz

Check to see if it is in your boot order, if it's not then you may not be able to.

and why vista when there is a perfectly good windows 7?

I do not believe its in the boot menu but i have seen a youtube vid where a guy said he did it with a sd card (4gb) but since im installing tiny vista it only needs the 1gb. Im wondering if the sd card needs to be present for it to detect it for the boot menu.

Finally defraged and partitioned, there is no SD card boot in the boot menu. Its supposed to be able to boot flash drives so.

Anyone got anything that can help me with this?

it didnt find the cellphone when i did usb HDD boot. Does the phone need to be in disk mode? Its a T-mobile dash with a 2gb mini SD.

What I would do: Plug my SD card into my card reader on my laptop, reboot, go to boot order and make my SD card 1st on the list.

Certain bios may not say SD cards, but categorize it as removable storage.
And on certain systems, you can press a hotkey to see a list of available boot devices.
