802.11 Draft N should be entirely compatible with your wireless-G adapter. However, the raw file transfer performance should not be much better (unless your 54Mbps connection is not being maxed out on your current super-G router), although the signal should improve.

I personally wouldn't go for it unless you're doing a complete home wireless upgrade. The final 802.11n specification is around the corner and new hardware for that will come out soon after.

So that router is not worth it?
and isnt that 802.11n ?
well I am buying it because my current one has connection issues, where the connection has to be reset, about twice a day

Apparently Wireless N has a longer signal range, so if you have a large house or can't get a signal on your porch you might want to consider it.

Wireless N is stronger, it will give you a better signal quality.

N routers work with all wireless G/B adapters. I have a N dual band Gigabit linksys. Only 1 adapter in my house is N.

Get N if your not getting good signal, also N is meant for extremely fast network like a fiber connection or a business cable connection, if you get decent signal with a G and dont get over 50000kbps with your current ISP than it'll be a waste you wont notice anything.

Ok well is you have a bad signal than a Wi-Fi N will really help out with your speeds, I recommend you get one than.

Just buy an wireless n adapter for your laptop. I'm in the same boat as you.

N is backwards compatible, so it'll work with your G wireless card, but it won't go as fast as if you had N built into your computer.
