What's your opinion on Indigo children. Personally I don't really believe in it. Besides the fact there isn't a single drop of scientific evidence, the people writing about it are of varying qualifications. And, the description of an indigo children just screams Forer effect. Not sure how you could think these kids are the next stage in evolution either

Yup. I was thinking something similar. I mean would prefer to think your child was special and or the next stage in evolution or that he/she has a mental impairment?

It's just a way for parents not to feel bad about their kid who isn't perfect in their eyes. Shame on those parents.
And I very much doubt telekinetic powers exist. That's over the boundary of science fiction. There is no way your brain can bend the environment around it just by thinking. That's what it uses your body for.

Exactly. My friend (well not any more lol) claimed she was an indigo. She said she had visions and that she saw dead people. The obvious answers:
1. Your visions are just your unconscious mind putting together previous knowledge of events to form an intelligent guess at what's going to happen. Plus, the mind likes to remember it's guesses that were right over the guesses that were wrong. So claiming that most of the time your visions are right works perfectly with my argument.
2. You aren't seeing dead people. You have a mental illness. You can claim other people saw the same thing (as my friend did), but in reality the other person could have lied, or coincidentally seen the same thing as you. In either case you both need to be diagnosed.
After saying that she said "How do you explain this scar from my friend's dead mom dragging me?" You did it to yourself? It's very possible for you to imagine something is actually happening when in reality something quite different is happening.

Weird I didn't even know what the term 'indigo child' meant until now. I really don't believe in it but I randomly have all the characteristics(except for ADHD....I think.).
