My mom might come to disneyland with us. I want her to go on space mountain but she says her heart is too weak. Im thinking its not going to be a problem. But maybe it will?
Idk...ive only heard of 1 person passing away on spacemountain because of a weak heart. shes only 43 so i think shes prety young.
What are the chances of someone dying from a ride from scaredness.
IDK, this topic might be stupid. -.-.

| Thing is, there are other reasons for somebody to not want to go on a ride other than the possibility of death.

You know, because it couldn't just be vomiting, dizzyness, or heart attacks. It HAS to be death.
Also, most rides have a sign saying "Do not go on this ride if you have a weak heart, low blood pressure, or pregnant"

| You might pass out while riding, and with it completely lose control. You could break your neck.

| Anyway, it's not smart to take chances with life and death. If your mother won't join your ride, then let her stay on the ground :)

You'd likely have to have some serious heart problems to run into trouble. Also, 43 is pretty young for a heart attack to occur.
Weak heart can also refer to heart failure, where the heart wasn't able to keep up with the demand and you tend to get fluid build up in your lungs. Has she ever had a history of this? She'd probably be on water pills if this was the case.

Being a limp ragdoll can also save your life in some situations like crashes. Drunks excel at this.

It's not too hard to believe that someone with arrhythmia could have a heart attack or suffer severe tachycardia on a particularly violent rollercoaster, especially if that person also suffered from a nervous disposition or high blood pressure. The likelyhood of death is low, but they would need urgent medical attention nonetheless.
People that have a hole in their heart couldn't ride either. The increase heart rate would cause them to pass out, and might even cause heart failure in rare cases. Some people would be stupid enough to try it, so the sign is there to cover the owner.
As regards pregnancy - it's possibly the most obvious thing in the world, but again there are stupid people around. Can you imagine the lawsuit if a woman lost her baby from being on a roller coaster with no signs indicating that she shouldn't ride it?

If your mom doesn't want to go onto Space Mountain because of her weak heart, regardless of whether or not you think she'll die, she's your mom and you have to respect her wishes. Besides, why chance your moms life?

Doesn't really matter, I don't think. Not like he could ever make her go on it.

Was born with a hole in my heart, which was corrected. I've ridden on a billion coasters.
