The 3G internet is NOT free, because there is no GSM 3G module in the itouch.
Of course you can try to find a wireless network... BUT i am pretty sure there is more 3G network coverage than open WiFi networks.

Dude, jailbreak it and get a T-Mobile simcard so you don`t have to pay the extra $20 for data. Do that because iPhone`s have a built in wifi so if you have a wireless router in your house you can use that as internet. I beleive you will still get text messages and phone calls on your current plan. That`s what I would do instead waste so much fuckin` money on a shitty plan.

You can get the iPhone 3G S on a two year O2 contract that gives you unlimited free internet access and loads of free minutes for about £45/month. The total price of the contract ends up being around £1000, but when you take the price tag of the phone and add in the cost of internet access and the amount you'd usually spend topping up a PAYG SIM, you're probably saving a decent amount of money.

well the service provider sux...sprint, but its alot cheaper than buying a blackberry with lower specs and its got so many great apps for it.......id say get it, but then again the 4g phones are coming out, might wanna wait for that

blackberry is cheaper in the long caz the plans on avg are cheaper

decided not to evan get it i didnt want to jailbreak it i heard it runs into update problems and the plan was garbage for at&t and was hearing to much ish about thee 3gs so i changed my mind but thanks for all thee feedback i really appreciate it
