You can also change the hue of the C4D by going through Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation and just adjust it.
You can erase some parts of it, parts that won't look good especially.
You can smudge it, since you love smudging so much.

That's not the only way to add effects though. I can't be bothered to search for more.
Join a big GFX community and you'll get loads of help.
