I am sorry to appear noob, but i haven't managed to understand how Speed hack works. What does it actually do that sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt for certain hacks?

speedhack modifies the timing routines a game calls to find out the current time.

if the faked time is faster than normal, animations and other stuff will go faster.
It usually won't work in online games, as the timing is done on the server, but in a few cases you can actually go faster or slower

yes, GetTickCount and QueryPerformanceCounter are the most often used functions to get the time. By modifying those functions the game will think time is faster or slower than it actually is

another game is unreal tournament 3 (useful in capture the flag and fun when used with the impact hammer and running at someone)

I remember back playing Planetside that there was what was called a "speedhack" but it was not something you downloaded it acually had something to do with your task manager and the set affinty.

I too am new at all this and in fact excited to learn.
