|
|
I want to download heaps of images from a certain site. Here is an example of the images directories:
http://thesite.com/ -> http://thesite.com/gallery/ -> http://thesite.com/gallery/*****/*****.jpg.html -> (right click -> view image) http://thesite.com/gallery/*****/*****.jpg
(Asterisk [*] denotes a wildcard.
Is there a way I can download these images efficiently, without going to each page, clicking the link to the html then right click -> view image?
Help will be rewarded with a +rep. _________________

I'm assuming you have Firefox.
Well first of all, you don't have to Right Click->view image to save.
Just do Right Click->Save Image As...
You could try the Add-On DownThemAll(DTA)
That lets you download all links/images on a page. _________________

| i don't know what the program is called but you can get a program which fetches every single page and all embedded resources and scripts from a node URL. so say you gave it forum.cheatengine.org then it would grab all sub-pages of that, so every single page and image in the forum |

| i haven't actually used once so can't recommend one but i do know they exist. i have to admit i'm slightly puzzled how they retrieve all the sub-pages and such of a given root URL.. only way i can think of doing it is via bruteforce, it's not like you can query the server for what folders it has under the root mmmm |

I am pretty sure Internet Download Manager has a site grabber. _________________

Hmmmm...
I seem to have found one. Just one problem. The images are stored like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\****\My Documents\*****\****\temp\c\images\
In that directory I seem hundreds of folders, with numbers as names. Inside each folder is a single image.
How would I get around this problem? _________________

Perhaps you should tell us the name of the one you used? _________________
