I find that when I write my lessons over and over again makes me memorize it easily. What's your own way of memorizing?

I made this thread to ask other people if the have their own ways of memorizing rather than just reading it over and over again or what I just stated.

Edit:
I mean "Other than reading it over and over again or writing it."

Then please do tell us the exact scientific name for the disorder that causes photographic memory, after all, it should be right in your head, yes?
Anyway...

In my first year of German, I set many websites and defaults on my computer to de-DE; German-Germany. Constantly thinking of German helped me memorise many things, and also learn a few new words. I even changed my keyboard's locale so I could easily type characters in German (üöäß).
This advice doesn't exactly fit perfectly for your situation, but it's pretty much the same idea. Just keep thinking about it, make it a game in your mind to play around with a certain subject or make something interesting out of it.
Other things I've tried are saying it out loud a few times, saying it in my head, writing it down, and making a story about it, which oddly works quite well.

I use mnemonics and I repeat stuff to myself over and over again.

Sometimes I just remember weird stuff that I don't need to remember without meaning to and forget more important stuff. :/

Either you have photographic memory (like me) or you can rewrite it.

this isn't photographic memory.

i remember a program on TV where they took someone for a helicopter ride over a city and they were instructed to draw it afterwards... the rendition of theirs was surprisingly accurate, even down to minuscule details such as the number of windows.

In the case of memorizing paragraph of text (like the first paragraph of the americas declaration of independence) I simply don't have a problem. After reading a thing over a few times, I can usually recite it 15 minutes later. I forget things quickly though if I don't review them though.

Depends on what I'm memorizing. If it's paragraphs, I usually resort to rote memorization by mentally repeating it, but if it's vocabulary I like to write it over and over until I've memorized the term. (For foreign language vocabulary, that is). Usually I'll resort to one of those two ways.

I have different 11 character passwords for everything I have. So I write them down and then memorize them for about a minute. Then after that I just remember it from usage.

When I was memorizing algorithms for the Rubiks Cube basic solve, I had a piece of paper with all of the algorithms written down and after about an hour of on and off usage of the Rubiks cube, I remembered them all. Still takes me about 75 seconds to solve them now. That means I have a harder task to learn all of the Speed Cube algorithms which are a lot harder and more complex, so I'm not sure how I'm going to do that.

It really depends on the person and what you're memorizing.

Making a story about it seems to help for alot of people.
If you have to go to the mall and have to get 7 eggs, 3 breads and 1 cup of butter, you can combinate those numbers with things in your own live. If you got something with the number 7, you can think of that object and remember you have to get 7 eggs. it's hard to explain but i hope you get me.

Then you'd have to memorize the story, though?

Our brain is weird. It's easier to memorize stuff with a story.

Its autism, and who drew it was Steven Whiltshire.
