|
|
I tried googling it, but it comes up with Yahoo answers and they say that it's any age, and I refuse to believe that.
Next year I'm moving to my dad's in Scotland, and I won't be able to go to Poland with my mum every year, and my dad isn't going to go every year like my mum, so I'm gonna have to go on my own.
So does anyone know what the legal age to fly alone on a plane is in the UK?

| Probably is any age, your parents drop you off then all the staff take extra care of you. Ring up the airline you're gonna be flying with, just ask them.

Just found this:

So this probably means that if I'm 16+, I can travel alone.
And that's exactly how old I'm going to be ^_^

In order to purchase a plane ticket on any airline, a person is supposed to be at least 18 years old.
A minor, under the age of 15, may be permitted to fly only in the event that his parents or legal guardians have notified the airline and filled out an Unaccompanied Minor form.
Minors between the ages of 15 and 17 are considered young adults, rather than unaccompanied minors, and can fly alone without an Unaccompanied Minor form and without any additional arrangements being made.
Some airlines like American Airlines have lowered the age limit to 12, but the majority of the airlines, including Delta, hold the young adult age limit at 15.
While young adults can fly alone, they cannot legally purchase a plane ticket on their own.
The absolute minimum age for flying alone on major airlines is 5 years old, but arrangements must be made in advance with the carrier airline.

Depends. It's prolly just a reasonable age. I've known people between ages 10~15 that fly alone.

I thought it was world wide rules, not country specific.
