How am I able to create a textbox that's read only? Like people can only copy what it outputs, but they can't edit it or anything. How am I able to do that?

by textbox i assume you mean edit control in which case just set ES_READONLY when you're creating it

you could even use a static text control then have a button which copies the string being displayed into windows' clipboard

VB6/VB.NET/C#: There's a textbox property of "Locked" that does this.

actually the property is called ReadOnly, Locked is so that you can't move/resize the control in the designer.

Just send the message to the control and it will be readonly.

How do you mean?

Like using delphi to make an edit box readonly within another application?
with winapi?
or in your own form.. in which case the win Api sounds like overkill, (along the lines of trapping all input) when the object inspector has its own readonly function..

Maybe its the lack of breakfast, but what is it you're actually doing?
