Hello!

Hope somebody could help me with this (and I hope I'm in the right forum):

At the new Anno 1404 in the campaign-mission 8, you have to build a dom within a time limit (a timer counts down from a difficulty level depending value), faster than your bad bad opponent.

I tried a lot of things to get the timers adress / value, but so far, nothing worked:

- Search for the exact value of the timer in seconds (with speedhack set to 0.1), there is just no result for any value type.
- It's not possible to look at the memory and search for some "clock" values (switching every second), because when you Alt-Tab, the game pauses.
- Speedhack works with positive values, 0 stops the game (but does not load the interface) and negative values are quiet funny to watch (the citizens walk out of your city and the game gets some how async), but the timer does not go back.
- Search for decreasing or increasing values (there is just too much stuff increasing or decreasing too)
- Change system time (lol)

Any ideas how to find that timer? It's also nearly impossible to speed up the building time of your Dom, beause I can't find some values like "ressources needed to complete" (even if they are displayed). I think this is a procentual value instead.

No idea, I suck at timers too.
try an unknown 4 byte scan followed by increased value each time time passes (and if that fails try a decreased scan)

you will end up with a lot of addresses, and even if you continue, you'll still have a lot, and from that list try to find which one is used for time

perhaps you could try scanning for the time string and see what access it and then trace back from there (a lot of work)
