|
|
I figured it was more or less time for me to start learning some type of fighting technique. Take note that I don't want to randomly attack others, I want to protect myself and fuck up the impolite gentleman that tries to fuck with me. Anyway, after asking around & looking online, I have learned that I should learn something called Krav Maga.
Does anyone have any experience with it? Where can I learn this?

Become a Jedi Knight.
Nobody, not even the Dark Side, would fuck with you then.
You could always look into Tae Kwon Do or Karate, because those seem to be the more popular martial arts techniques.

Thanks, found one. For anyone interested, here's the link. Although, someday I want to go beyond "citizen" training, and do the real thing, where you learn the real stuff and not just the defensive shit. Sucks being 13.
Okay, I lied in the original post. Who learns something like this just to defend themselves?

Popularity is the worst motivation for learning something. And, fuck that shit, Krav Maga owns that any day.

| Tried it, although too expensive for my taste. 150USD every 6th month.

You could always try Jeet Kune Do.

Whushu is also good.
If you want to force your opponent into submission you should train Hapkido.

| Kickboxing would be another alternative to consider if you weren't able to find a local teacher for your current choice. More mainstream, and all.

Not a big KM person, too expensive.
I prefer JKD/Muay Thai.
