My problem is when running games like oblivion down to little flash games, my computer freezes with a loop in sound or i get blue screen. I am ok if i have to get a new one but it would be nice to recover it back to normal.
P.S. It wasn't always like this. It used to be very good at running games. PLUS it crashes faster the more i do actions. (e.g. leaving TF2 running overnight without movement in game will not crash as fast as a fast paced flash game.)

If it BSODs, the error message would be nice. It might be overheating, so try running Prime95 in torture test mode to see if you can get it to crash.

| it only BSOD very little, and thats if i continue to playn a game after the computer crashes. Will this 'torture test' ruin my computer even further?

To be honest sounds like a classic case of a virus

| I've done a system restore many times and i've also scanned for viruses. Would it just be easier to get a new computer or would it be fixed with more ram/new video card/etc.?

| I say try and reformat it, and if it still does it, it might be something wrong with your hardware.

Is reformatting when you reinstall windows or when you let the memory join back together? (sorry, i'm no good at technical stuff.)
EDIT: Nvm, I looked on google. When I install it off the disk, will I have to install everything again or will it still be there?

| Maybe your graphics card driver is failing, try reinstalling it.

It would be a clean install of Windows. You wouldn't have any of your data or programs, so I suggest you backup your data. And hopefully you don't have many programs, otherwise reinstalling them all is gonna be a bitch.
