CE actually encourages users to grab the code and change/compile it themselves so that it cannot be detected by the software you are trying to cheat. That would explain the title change on the main window.

Yes, at least all of us on this board know that. But you would not believe how many others are out there who actually don't - and thus, they believe anything that's told to them... Same as politics in certain countries, but let's not go there.
BTW DarkByte,
has there been any bug fixes in the last few months? I did not see any updates in Mantis, so I am wondering. Should I get the latest SVN, or should I stick with 5.5? I mean, is there real benefit in grabbing the SVN?
Thank you.

Well, been working on a 64-bit port again with completely redesigning the debugger part, but it currently looks a lot like a standard linux-app (hard to describe, but the big buttons with tiny icons just give me the feeling it's just a ported linux app)
Doing it in lazarus/freepascal, I doubt there'll ever be a 64-bit delphi, and stuck again with the problem that freepascal can't make 64-bit dll's (workable dll's that support exception handling that is)
Also still putting together a list of what to update.
As for the svn, just some minor bugfixes are in there (asm and some display stuff, not much new in there for now) so the normal 5.5 is fine enough.
Of course, if you do make changes that are good, don't hesitate to send them my way

Ok, thanks. I guess all things will go 64bit soon, so that makes perfect sense. There's one thing I wonder about when it comes to Win7: how would hacking work when one is running the game in Win7's "XP environment".
I guess no one really cares about the looks as long as they can get the job done easily.

My lame Delphi knowledge is good enough only for minor fixes and shuffling things around. Actually, I always meant to re-wamp the UI a bit (remember my reports about 24" display/different DPI settings?), but then you began working on the menu so I thought I would wait out until you're done.

I'm currently not touching the svn's gui much, so you could make changes to there
As for win7's xp environment I don't know, I guess you could just run ce in that XP environment then as well and it'll work.
And if that fails you could still use the create process method (ce gets the handle of the cretaed process automatically). Perhaps I'll have to add a option to create it without debugger, but if i'm correct it'll be created and launched in the same context as ce

Well, since Win7 is still far away we can only guess, keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.
It's nice to see that we have alternatives - let's get back to that once we have Win7 on our PCs.
Cheers.
