check assembler tutorials

al is a 8 bit register (part of the 16 bit AX register which is part of the 32 bit EAX register, which is part of the 64-bit RAX register)

mov al,[ebx+40c] places the byte stored at the address ,the calculation ebx+40c brings it to , in al
