I recently decided that I will do situps,I am underweight for my age so I would see results In a week
So I did 30 the first day
Then I did 90 the next
Now my I feel pain where my abs are, how do I do more situps if my abs hurt really bad?

Does it feel like being winded or just aches? If it just aches just rest it for a bit then go back to your sit ups. _________________

I trust you're crossing your arms over your chest rather than behind your head. Doing so can lead to additional neck pains, which is something annoying.
Eh, when I first started doing situps, started on the carpet, so my lower back was hurting like hell, if anything, try and get a smooth surface, some kind of mat, perhaps. Always helps. Good luck. |

You could take pain killers or muscle relaxants? _________________

You're not supposed to work out the same set of muscles out 2 days in a row. Do situps one day, and then focus on something else another day. Then, come back to situps on the third day, so to speak.
Working out tears muscle strands, basically. Your body then rebuilds them even stronger; thus, you gain muscle. Your body needs the time to repair... _________________

Work your way up and don't do as many at first. I never do situps but for the physical fitness test at my school I did the max which was I believe 75. My abs hurt for a couple days. It goes away though, so you'll be fine. _________________

| You feel pain because your an idiot and impatient. You just recently started, and went for 30. Which is great but then you took a huge jump and brought it up to 90 the next day. Idiotic move there. What you need to do is stretch every muscle for 30 secs, then go for a light jog. When you are back, stretch again for 30 secs, then you should work out. And when you work out, do it slowly with little sips of water, and rest in between work outs. The next day you should do the same, but work out at a different muscle or just calisthenics. |

| Doing one set of sit-ups every couple days won't get you that far. Try doing more varied exercises as well. Maybe go to the gym and use some of the machines for crunches with weights or use medicine balls. |
