Take ice cube trays, take a mentos, freeze it inside of an ice cube, wait until someone comes over, offer soda, use ice, be successful.

Not really, there's already carbonated water in it, it really only affects the taste. It would cause the soda to overflow, or, you know, prove me wrong, try it ;D.

I think the dilution is insignificant when comparing the amount of water in the ice cubes to the amount of soda. In addition, the Mentos would take up a large portion of the ice cube.
