shutdown, restart, log-off, and sometimes standby and switch users. Im not 100% sure if this is caused by gameguard. When i try standby, my screen goes blank and i have to turn off my laptop using the power button. For switch users, there is this button that lets me shutdown but when i press it, the screen just stays at a blue screen with a xp logo..
How do i fix this? I know i can just turn off my laptop using the power button but i heard that it harms the computer. Is there a way to turn off hidden processes like gameguard?
Thanks in advance

You said the screen goes black when going into standby, what about shutdown(start>shutdown, not the log-off one). Does it get stuck at blue screen too? You can try shutting it through the Run command line. I dont know the force shutdown command but google it.
Also u can go to ur Game help forum or file a ticket since im sure ur playing MapStry. They might help u.
