After intense googling I found this website, seems very good, nice desktops and notebooks. I particularly like http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Xplorer_X5-2900_Notebook/ which I customized to my liking for about $1,200. But my question is should I find an even better notebook or just go with this one.

Firstly, do you really need a laptop? They're cool and all, sure, but you could get far superior performance with a $1200 desktop.
That said, ibuypower.com is probably the best manufacturer of pre-builds you could find, cyberpowerpc following close behind it. Look through and find something to your liking.

Lol i almost thought they were the same company, they even have professional wiring as a bonus. Wow as a bonus? I think that should be included.
Well in the desktop section anyway.

Well I really don't want a desktop. I already have one and I want the ability to be able to bring a laptop with me around the house or even when I go out. and I tried iBUYPOWER and their laptops are just too geared towards gaming for me.

I would go for a gaming geared laptop anyway. Because in the end, you are going to eventually play at least one game on it. Also it doesn't hurt to have the benefits of a good graphic card ect.

true and I will be stuffing some good gear into this laptop. But nothing too dramatic I'm aiming for 1,200 - 1,600 .
