I'm not sure if "renderer" is proper grammer, but I need a basic, free, and easy to use program that will remove the backgrounds of images for me (because I don't have photoshop). I'd like you guys to give me some suggestions.

I have never found a good download for Photoshop. Every time I find one it asks for an unlock key.

its not free
this is the cheapest (legal) way to get it

but with this student license you cant commerce it means you cant sell your works.

GIMP != Photoshop
we are talking about getting photoshop for free not GIMP and
Photohop > GIMP

was talking about downloading from any torrent site or wares site Rolling Eyes which is what almost everyone does.

(and i shall get warned/banned for this =0)

Aside from all this discussion, there's no program to do it.
It wouldn't be able to define the part you want cut from the background.
It's DIY, or don't get it done at all. (Ofcourse you could always request it at planetrenders, gamerenders, or here even).

But GIMP is legally free, whilst Photoshop most certainly isn't (however, it is true that GIMP<PS, and hence I use CS4 myself).
