So my iPod, whenever is plugged up to my laptop, asks me if i want to scan and fix. However, when i click scan, and then start, it gives me an error that its not in use. I've tried on 2 computers, one with iTunes 8.0 and one with iTunes 8.2.

See attachment for error.

It won't. that's a hard disk check.
Just click scan & check and it'll take like a few minutes to scan.
