You don't.
You have to use a program like Photoshop to remove the background, then save as a .png.

Dude... MS Paint?
If you don't want to pay, and you don't want to use warez, at least go for GIMP (also available in portable edition) . . .

You can get rid of the white of a selected area, just not the actual background. Hard to explain..

Let's see if what I did to this little sprite made it clear...
EDIT: Seeing that it didn't work, it obviously didn't work.

Well, with my fiddling and searching, I did figure out how to cleanly resize stuf on paint ( ). Somebody has yet to answer my question though.

Takes up too much processing speed. Anyway, I used graphics gale, MAYBE what I did made this transparent...
