I've only used Blender. We used it in school when we did 3D modeling.

nice, blender is really powerful but its stressful for any person used to all the other 3D applications though >.> the interface is completely different from any other 3D program

3Ds max, maya and softimage are pretty the same when interface

Cinema 4D is barely different but still easy and friendly

but blender >.> you cant even select something if someone doesn't tell you how to do it >.<

but.. the real feature of blender is that it's free and not crappy. actually it is good >.> since its a free open source and lots of developers got into it.

I use 3Ds Max and Maya now. I used to use the shareware, 3D Canvas.

I really enjoy 3Ds Max and Maya, because the purposes (IE. Second Life Modeling) I have for them all have 3Ds Max plug-ins to work with.

				| Blender is nothing compared to what Maya can do. I've tried both and although Blender has some unique rigging attributes similar to Set Driven Keys or Blendshapes in Maya, it isn't as good. Maya also has Mental Ray.

You cannot zBrush stuff that are going to be in games unless you're going to create really craving stuff considering the polygons created by zBrush.

				| C4D was my favorite, I bought a $400 book on 3ds max 9 and still haven't gotten around to learning it.

3DS max for me, its the most straightforward in my opinion

and MudBox for sculpting (ZBrush has confusing hotkeys)
