I wanted to leave my comp over night so i Turned off the monitor. Few mins later i wanted to check something and turned the monitor on and it restarted.
I tried that again and my comp automaticly restarts when i click the ON button on monitor. Seems to be working normally when monit is Off. How to fix that? _________________

i have no idea why this would happen but there might be an electrical fault in your monitor? _________________

no i dont mean he cable from monitor but the cable inside the computer. Its a rly small black and white cable thats connected to the card from the mboard. Everythign works fine w/o it too so im wondering whats that for cuz i changed my card and recconected the cable, b4 i didint use it. Maybe thats what causing that.
Edit: I tried w/ and w/o the cable, still restarts the comp. Any help? _________________

Maybe it's electrical.
Are your computer and monitor well grounded?
If not, turning your monitor on might cause a little fluctuation causeing a brown out for your pc which makes it restart. |

Try unlatching the monitor cable from your computer and try turning it on and off. If the PC remains unaffected, then it's not the power. |
