| But only a mild case. I've already gone to the doctor since my temperature went up to 39.7 degrees. My school was contacted and they are deciding if they should close the school for next week because of exams.

Kid at our school has swine flu yet they haven't closed the school. Annoying, because I have exams next week and I wouldn't mind a little extra time

People make it a big deal.
It's just really a reg. flu just a little more damaging.
Only, old, young, and bad immune systems or poor are the one's that usually die.

| it was scary though. My temp was nearly 40 degrees and my mom was freaking out and crying, so we rushed to the ER and a doctor examined me and said I had swine flu. gave me some Tylenol, told me to stay home for a week and thats about it.

are you kidding me?
40c = 104 fever, aka hot, but not dangerous.
though, when I was younger, I remember clocking a 105 and by that point I was hallucinating.

well ur brain will start to shut down at over 103 and going over just increases the rate.

| My sister and 16 of her classmates got the flu a couple days ago. One kid had a confirmed case of the swine flu, but he and everyone is fine now. It definitely seems like a pandemic though. It spread through her class relatively fast.

| That's cuz it absolutely IS the ordinary flu. It's just mutated a little more than other flu's have each year in the past, so it's taking a while to make a vaccine.

| yes I was talking about Celsius, thats what we use in Canada, and I'm happy to report that I'm feeling better (aside from being a little hot and a bit dizzy) I'm not allowed to leave my house. I'm only allowed to go back to a doctor if my case becomes 'extreme'
