I just capped at 79.9 kb/s which is a huge improvement. I'm guessing a lot of it has to do with location too. This is where I live right now.. But I'm moving to the states over the summer and will get a high speed connection (probably T1).

120 kb/sec now. Thanks for the suggestion of slowly increasing the max download speed, it's working great.

Most of this has to do with the amount of leechers and seeders:

Let me explain this... (May be obvious.. but w/e)
Seeders are people who are uploading the file to your computer...
Leechers are the people downloading the file with you...

So if its 4000/2000
Then it would be severely slow because lets say each of them has 100 KB/s upload speed... Then everybody would be downloading that stuff at 200 KB/s and plus... Usually people who are seeding go at about 60 KB/s average unless there is a high powered server seeding it. If that is the case the server should be uploading at about 5000 KB/s or more and that should increase your download speed like crazy... An average server with good internet attached to it should upload more... Maybe about 15000 KB/s if it has awesome internet and great processors... etc. So if you want to make this download go faster...

1. Get better Internet
2. Wait until around 11PM at night where there will be least people downloading... Unfortunately that is when least people are seeding as well...
3. Or go during the afternoon... Usually more people are seeding then and a medium amount of people will be downloading... This is usually the fastest connection...

Well with my old ISP(I forgot which), I got really bad speeds even after port forwarding and all of that(yes I did it right). With my new ISP(AT&T U-Verse) I get maxed speed(350 kb/s).

Idk i usually download at 4MB/s which is ~3 min for a 700MB movie but this time it was slower.

Lithuania is ftw with #1 upload speed in the world even if we have few seeders, speed is very high anyways.

Oh and i don't use any of foreign torrent sites, no need to.
