well i dont noe how 2 rly explain tis but sumtimes i cant use any of the tools such as brush or pen tool.my cursor just becomes the hand with the gloves.then if i want a while,i can use the tools again.
how can i stop tis from happening?
and also,can someone give me like a kind of link to make siggys cuz i selected the parts i want but cant flatten them.

Sigh...
What are you doing that prompts you to flatten the layers?
There's the Smudge Tool, Hand Tool and the Burn Tool, which tool with a hand are you referring to?

But does the actual tool still work?
Try going to edit>preferences>cursor.
Set it to normal brush tip.
See if that fixes it.

no the tools does not work hmm nvm about the cursor thing but can u help me out the flattening bit?

Flattening layers, doesn't help you edit them later just so you know.
What are you doing that prompts you to flatten the layers?

Copy the layer, then paste it.
Or you can also drag that layer onto another document, you need to separate the document with the layer you want to copy from the bar that holds the documents together. To do that, mouse over the document then drag it away the bar.

Edit -> Paste
Or Ctrl + V.

btw wuts the difference between layer and background?
EDIT:umm i cant fckin paste.the option is blanked out.(lyk from the optionas "edit" then "paste" the words arent dark,its grey

A screenshot would be helpful.
You can always convert a background to a layer by going to Layer > New > Layer from Background, when selecting the 'Background' layer, IIRC.
