I did something real fun at my school and almost got expelled and then almost got a 4,000$ fine!! YAY... It all started with me doing something a little like what you are doing....
My school has a domain filter, so if you get on a linux boot disk everything is still blocked! So I was like WTF...
So I was looking around and I noticed that my school had a startup script that ran on login.
It disappeared too fast so I had to take a screenshot...
When I took a screenshot I could read the command line. It was loading a regedit from my school board's network drive! So I copied the path from the script and typed it into windows explorer and wammy... I was inside of my school's network drive where all the logon scripts for all schools in the entire schoolboard.... It was pretty stupid of them... I could have reformatted all of the schoolboards computers and they would have never known...
So after some snooping I found another folder called... Wallpapers... I was like that sounds interesting... So I open it and find two pictures... My school loads all of the student's backgrounds from the network! dumb on their part.
I copied a real scary background from google... renamed it to the background pictures name and Wammy... all of the schoolboards computers had that background on relogin...
So I learned a few things while messing around... Schools don't like people browsing through their stuff and you should never leave the network folder opened on your screen when you go to the bathroom...
So my school had a command line run from login and it was gpupdate/force... So that means that my school uses domain usergroups.. I never could figure out what I had to do from there to add my own account to the usergroup so I could login and be admin on all computers. I did however add my own admin to the network so I could login anywhere.. but I didn't have admin rights on any of the computers...
If you want to bypass a filter I suggest that you just use a tunnel or VNC... I think I used Tight VNC this year... no need to install or anything )
