| I was uninstalling Left 4 Dead and now everything is in bold. My control panel font is all in bold, every kind of text is in bold, even as I'm typing it looks like this to me. I've already tried to change themes and all of that. Any ideas on how to fix it? |

Hmm, wow that's strange.
Was something interrupted while you were unistalling L4D? |

it did say something like "font_arial.aif could not be removed" so I just hit ok and after uninstallation everything is bold. |

Now it's italic?
If it's not there, maybe try redownloading those fonts and place it inside the folder? |

You can try changing the font size/style located in the "Advanced Appearance" settings located in display properties.

For some reason L4D sometimes deletes the registry keys for a few different fonts.
1. Run regedit
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
3. Right click > New > String value. Do this 10 times.
4. Now, change the names of the newly created keys (right click > rename) to:
Arial (TrueType)
Arial Bold (TrueType)
Arial Narrow (TrueType)
Courier New (TrueType)
Lucida Console (TrueType)
Marlett (TrueType)
Tahoma (TrueType)
Times New Roman (TrueType)
Trebuched MS (TrueType)
Verdana (TrueType)
5. Now, change the value of each key to (respectively):
arial.ttf
arialbd.ttf
arialn.ttf
cour.ttf
lucon.ttf
marlett.ttf
tahoma.ttf
times.ttf
trebuc.ttf
verdana.ttf
6. Restart computer
7. ?
8. Profit
EDIT: Aforementioned fonts attached just in case they were deleted entirely (not just the registry keys). Move them to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts . _________________
