Okay, so i think i want to purchase a laptop... My reasons are my own.
The most common thing i run into when using laptops is that the touch mousepad is ANNOYING. I always hit it with my hand and it deletes my entire paragraph i was typing.
Are there any that people have used and not gotten such results? I really can't/don't want to resort to using an external mouse.

When you accidently delete an entire paragraph, i don't know what you're doing it in, but in notepad you can right click => Cancel and it will cancel the last action ("deleting").
Otherwise, you can disable it.
On my laptop's keyboard, i have a FN key, and over F7 key there's a little symbol of a hand over a pad in blue. If i press both, it disables/enables it.
Try to find that symbol on your keyboard.
Edit : Other (last) possible option is to completly uninstall the pad, but that would be stupid if someday your mouse breaks and you can't get one right away and really need it.
Also, if you want we can get on msn and use showmypc, and i'll try to disable your pad without uninstalling it.
All that's up to you.

I said i do not want to use an external mouse...
Also, If every 2 seconds i had to do "Edit -> Undo", then it would take me twice as long to right my paper.

So... you don't want to disable it? That's the obvious choice but I don't think you noticed it.

Most notebooks from HP has a button above the mouse pad that lets you enable or disable it.
Another way is to reduce the track pad's sensitivity.

IBM Thinkpads. The mouse is in the middle of the keyboard.

I've got a Lenovo Thinkpad and it's got 2 mouses.. The 'nipple' looking one and the touchpad. I disabled the touchpad through the BIOS (but in Lenovo you can have settings if you want to enable/disable them).
Note: If you disable through BIOS and want to re-use it, you have to go back to the BIOS and re-enable it through there.
