Perhaps if you'd tell us what the error on the BSOD says we might be able to help you.

Assuming that it's a standard error, the parts circled in red.
Yes, I stole the pic from wikipedia.

you would've done something, like install a driver that's screwed up, that's caused the error. if you know what it is, you can try and undo it yourself, or just try a system restore.

have you tried further than a day? anyway, you could always try last known good configuration at the boot preferences screen, but there has to be a driver or something you've installed/modified.

Would this be the cause?
I downloaded Google Chrome then I did the thing where it says RESTART now to finish download shit.
Then when I came back later, BSOD's.

i guess that could have potentially caused a problem. try uninstalling that and anything else it installed with it in safe mode.
EDIT: try and see if you can get a dump of the BSOD error, this might help you locate it.

Last known good configuration is useless if he already logged in whilst having the problem. By looking at the error "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL", I've researched it at it says that it's due to hardware failure. It's either the CPU overheating or you have bad ram.

if it's due to hardware failure, explain how safe mode works fine.

Don't really know but I just researched what the error he told us. It can be a bad driver from a hardware he installed which is causing this problem.
