also, the slim one has an Ethernet port built in. the fat one doesn't.

Get the smaller one. I wish I didn't sell my PS2, my PS3 isn't backwards compatible. ;-;

all PS3's should have good backwards compatibility with later firmware, even if you don't have an early one with the hardware support.

I was wrong.. Just found out 2 minutes ago, after so many years.. I thought only the silver ones made less noise.. Stupid friends making up stuff to get attention.
You should buy the slim one. Everything about it is better.
But the big one is like, more retro.

I have the slim one and it is better for mobile use. Slim is the same as the fat one.

Skinner one because you can take anywhere ; your friend your grand-ma etc.You can put (almost) it anywhere! personnaly i have a PS3 Skinny and i'm glad i didnt buy teh fat one!
