1. If you save a trainer with a icon, reopen it, save it again, without changing the icon, you cannot reopen it after that. It says icon is corrupted.
2. Allow the trainer to be able to scroll down, if you click design own interface
3. Add a internet shortcut or something to trainer maker, so that you can click a button and it will launch URL.
4. Add a rename for scripts, it took me 5 minutes to figure out to just double click the name lol. Other people won't be so lucky.

Just some bugs\suggestions that i came over. Not flaming, I like 5.5, i can put a high quality icon now =p

I just recently noticed this that when you scroll the lower panel where your variables and scripts are, it just scrolls the lines, not the whole page. IMO, it should scroll the scroll bar, not the lines..

Example: when you scroll down, it should scroll N rows down instantly, not start from the top to scroll the lines. N is defined in your mouse settings (Control panel -> Mouse -> Wheel).

CE version is 5.5.

Another thing I've noticed, and this is even after updating to the latest version, is that not all keys show up correctly in the interface. Many of them are shown as keycode numbers (such as [, ], -, =, and \). This makes it impossible for the average Joe to know what to press if they're using my trainer. A lot of the more common keys are already in use by the game I'm currently hacking.

Also, selecting an exe for the program doesn't work right, it only retains the file without the parent directories. This is unacceptable if I want to be able to launch the game from the trainer. I'm using Vista 64, so I don't know if that affects it.

And the ability to add in trigger sounds would be greatly appreciated (activated/deactivated alerts).

The internal part of the trainer works fine though. Very Happy Doesn't have any problems with the game.

Oh, and one last thing not related to the trainer maker: Selecting several lines of assembly code and clicking on "add to code list" only results in the dark blue line's address range being put in the two range boxes, not the range of all of the selected lines.

How about "find out what jumps to this address" in the memory view?

And "find the first static pointer".

find out what jumps to this address is already implemented. Just run the code dissector and above the addresses you'll see which addresses jumped to it and if it was a call, conditional jump or normal jump)

As for "Find the first static pointer" that's useless. 0% of the time the first one is the correct one, there's a 99.9999% chance that the pointer path for the first one will change next time the game has started.
Of course you can click stop as soon as it indicated it found something (static count>0) but not really useful (the rescan addresses might sound like an extra feature you might not need, but trust me, it's the most important function you need after a pointer scan)

Could I get a brief explanation of the code dissector?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the whole idea of having a static pointer was that it doesn't change.

And about the pointer scan, I don't quite understand it. If I find a pointer that says "UxTheme.dll+00029234", is UxTheme.dll the address and 00029234 the offset? And what are those other hex numbers?

With code dissector give it a range of assembly code to scan. It'll check that region for jumps and calls and builds up an internal list. Then when assembler is shown it'll write some text above it if something jumps to/calls it

yes, a static pointer doesn't change, but the levels inbetween, the stuff it points to to get to the final result do.

e.g 00400500 is a static address, and it might contain the value 00491230
So a pointer notation of [00400500]+8 would result into 00491238

of course, next time the program is started 00400500 might contain the value 00581230, and a notation of [00400500]+8 would then result into 00581238 (which would be the correct address if that's what you wanted)

The pointer scan finds possible paths, not THE path.
for example +8 +c +18 with base 00400500 is the correct pointer path, and the pointer scan will return that path, but perhaps there's also another path that will point to the final address, for example +8 +8 +4, which might work the first time the game is running, but not the 2nd time
Thats why you have to rescan the pointers with the new address after restarting the game, to filter out those wrong paths.

As for "UxTheme.dll+00029234" that's just a notation to make it easier to find the address when the dll is loaded at a different location.
e.g: uxtheme.dll = 10000000, so uxtheme.dll+29234 would result into 10029234
And the hex numbers under it is the offset path. (+8 +c +1Cool

Ah, it never hit me that all the offsets in the droplist were part of the same multilevel pointer. Thanks for your reply =)
