which editor do you guys prefer? personally, i use gimp because its powerful and free. even though it doesnt have all the features of PS its still really good.

Photoshop > GIMP

Only think GIMP has going for it is that its free.

Gimp sucks.
After using photoshop I found it limited and hard to use.

Adobe know what they're doing.

Though, it's got a good "weight" compared to Photoshop.

Anyway, on a serious note. Photoshop isn't free for a reason. Not only do Adobe want to make lots of money, but they know that it's an amazing piece of software and it cannot be competed with. GIMP is open source and free and that really is the only thing that's good about it.

Powerfull how? I only just find it anoying to work with. I get an headache every time I try it. Same goes for paint.net.
