Some questions about it and whether I should get it or not
(Don't worry, I have done [some] research! :D)

First comes first

Is an iPod Touch worth the money?
What do you hate most about the iPod touch?
What's your favorite thing about the iPod touch?
Is there anything I should know when buying the iPod Touch?

Versions

Should I get the 16GB or 32GB if I have only around 150 songs and 8-10 movies?
Besides space, are there any other benefits using the 32 GB iPod Touch vs. the 16 GB iPod Touch?
If you had just enough to buy the 32 GB iPod Touch, would you go for it, or buy the 16 GB and save up your money?

yes and no, if your willing to spend a little more to get some memory then yes

What do you hate most about the iPod touch?
that there isnt wifi everywhere, so you cant just get internet like the i phone

What's your favorite thing about the iPod touch?
well just the fact that people think its cool, and some of the apps are fun as others are useful

Is there anything I should know when buying the iPod Touch?
you should make sure you buy the warranty, its a good thing to have if something goes wrong

Should I get the 16GB or 32GB if I have only around 150 songs and 8-10 movies?
16GB is a good size, i have around 300 songs and like 5 movies and i still have a good chinck of it left over

i dont thin there are, except the extra room and the extra cost

it used to be, but now they have the app store so its a little obsolete, i havent tried recently, but it does violate the warranty

What more can you do with a jailbroken ipod Touch?
i think you can get free apps, but i dunno if anyones making apps for this anymore when apple can pay them to make them for the apps store

Can you link me to a site which makes it easier to jailbreak the touch?
idk it anymore, since 2.0 happened

What free applications are the best on the Touch?
with the spaeker, most of the fun little trinkets, i have an old school one so i have no speaker :'(

What free games are the best on the Touch?
i dunno, i usually use my sisters account/money and just buy a cheap one

What are your favorite applications and games on the Touch?
fav app = safari & fav game = brick breaker 3d

What applications do you use the most?
Safari, and music

ALTERNATIVE:

i dunno it depends what your going for, if you get it for mass music storage, id just go for the classic, it really just depends what you intend to use it for

I don't have one however I can tell you some things about it:

The only difference between a 32gb and a 16gb one is that you can hold more on it, filling up your 16gb one is a pain and then you wish you had bought the 32gb.

Go for the 32gb - and yes it's worth the money.

An alternative is the iPhone - it's a bit more expensive but it makes phone calls!

I was thinking about an iPhone for some time, however, I've heard countless times that the monthly charge could be anywhere from $80, unless you hack it and put in a T-mobile sim card, which I'm too lazy to do.

Only thing I do like about iPhone is that it comes with some better apps, a larger screen, and feels much better in your hand though the Touch is lighter. However, due to the large cost I probably will not get an iPhone, they can't hold a lot either and memory (may) be an issue.

Yes, it looks absolutely sexy and there's so much more you can do.

The 2G speakers aren't very loud outside.

Annoying people in class with high frequency buzzing sounds that teachers can't hear.

The iPod Touch is a lot different from the normal iPods and can take a while to get used to.

You should get the 32GB even if you don't think you'll be using all of it. Over time the file sizes will increase and you'll want/get more stuff for your iPod.

PS. Get more music -_- 150 songs is nothing.

In the future you might find yourself running out of space and wishing you'd gotten the 32GB.

I wouldn't do it the day you get it.

What more can you do with a jailbroken ipod Touch?

You can download apps that normally cost money, but for free. You can download a bunch of custom themes for your iPod Touch. You can use iPhone Browser to access any file on your iPod and modify it (Change the configs of games for hacks).

What free applications are the best on the Touch?

Remote (Made by Apple, allows you to control your iTunes from your iPod Touch wirelessly (requires wireless router).

What free games are the best on the Touch?

Not sure, I usually by most of them.

What are your favorite applications and games on the Touch?

Air Mouse (Allows complete use of your computer from your iPod Touch, you can control the mouse, type, use the internet, control media, control iTunes etc.

Flight Control (A fun game that only costs a dollar (I think))

FieldRunners (One of the best Tower Defense games for the iPod)

7 Cities (Another really cool Tower Defense)

Pocket God (Fun entertainment system with no point, you just make little people on an island and kill them)

There's a ton more that are really fun.

What applications do you use the most?

I use Air Mouse and Flight Control the most. (I'm actually typing this in Air Mouse)

Other

Jailbreaking isn't really needed, it's cool once you're done but it can be a bit hard to do. And if you're iPod breaks and they see that you tried to jailbreak it, they won't replace it for you.

Also, if you're into texting, there's an app you can get for texting on the iPod Touch, the only payment is for the app itself but you need wireless.

What do you hate most about the iPod touch? The fact thats its apple! Seriously though, the only thing I dislike is its battery life.
What's your favorite thing about the iPod touch? Its a great boredom buster, perfect for long trips. On a 2 week road trip around central Australia I rotated through movies, games, music and even read a few books.

Jailbreaking the iPod Touch

Is it worth jail breaking your iPod Touch the day you get it? Not anymore. Mine is jailbroken, but Ive had mine for well over a year, long before the App store was released. It used to be good, but now you can go pretty much anything jailbroken on a legit one. (Only jailbreak voids warranty.)
What more can you do with a jailbroken ipod Touch? See above.

What free applications are the best on the Touch? I dont have any legit applications, but I believe that Tap tap revenge (or revolution, cant remember name) is the best free one.

What are your favorite applications and games on the Touch? On my jailbroken one, I enjoy playing a gameboy advanced emulator.

Wow! Thanks for all the comments, most of my questions are answered. They were all very helpful and I'm glad you posted in this thread.

I'm probably:

NOT going to jailbreak
Add some movies, e-books, songs, etc.
NOT going to get iPod classic

Some questions I still have though:

- Should I go for 16GB or 32 GB?

- In about how many hours does your battery shut off? Not going by the apple site hour thing because they normally round up and make sure all processes besides videos/music has ended before they give you the "battery life" of the Touch.

- Anyone know if they will release an iPod touch with more space?

- Anyone know where to find a good protector (screen protector, case thing) for the touch?

Battery life isn't a problem with the Second Gen. You can see the screen clearly at around 50% brightness when outside. When locked you can get an enormous amount of play time with music.
