How much are terabytes these days?
I'm buying a big computer thing...
Im not good with computers...
Anyways, I'm getting this big ass storage drive.
Hold 15 terabytes but I'm paying like 1,500 for it.
Worth it?

A "real" TB is 1024GB, not 1000GB.
1 "real" TB: 16492674416640 bytes
1 "market" TB: 15000000000000 bytes
There's a pretty significant difference.

That's fucked up...
They should make it by law that when they say 1 Terabyte, its exactly 1000/1024GB... I've got a 1Tb and my max is 931GB...
Right now people don't have a problem with it because when someone buys say a 320GB, they loose 70GB, but in future when storage devices get to the Petabytes, the difference will be huge...
