Against the belief of prayer on God.

OK. I'm going to assume that the reader right now is a Christian. I'm also going to assume that you are a smart person, that you have "Common Sense".
Since you are a Christian you believe in God and you believe in the power of prayer. A very important promise to Christians, God cared about you, God can preform miracles, all you have to do is pray. God will help you out.
Now let's imagine that one day you have a problem, and you pray to God for a solution, God does not answer your prayer. There is no answer at all.
You get disappointed, perhaps even angry. You start to wonder "Why does God not answer my prayers?" You should hear a response like this.
"We have to trust that He knows best. God answers the prayers in the form of 'Yes', 'No', or 'Wait'."
Yes, No, and Wait. That is how God answers prayers, you must have heard this a couple of times and believe it completely. It may seem comforting, but 'Yes', 'No', or 'Wait', is an illusion of some sorts.
Alright. Imagine I have a jug of milk and I tell you to pray to the jug of milk, and it will answer all your prayers. Your skeptical but you agree to try it, you pray to the milk for 1000 dollars. Now I tell you that the milk answers prayers in the form of Yes, No, or Wait. What is going to happen?

Yes:
Out of the blue a check comes in the mail with 1,100$ tomorrow. It is an unexpected Tax Refund from the IRS. I say "See! The Jug of Milk answered your prayers!"

Wait:
7 weeks later, out of the blue, you get a cost-of-living raise which happens to increase you by 1,200$. I say "See! The Jug of Milk answered your prayers! You just had to be patient."

No:
6 months pass and you get nothing. You ask me "Why", i reply "The Jug of Milk knows what's best, we just have to be more patient".

Now let me ask you, would you get on your knees and pray to the Jug of Milk? Probably not, but why not?
You won't worship the Milk because you know it didn't do anything. It didn't "Answer" your "Prayer". It did not cause you to get a raise or get a tax refund. You know that. We both know that. The milk did nothing at all. It was just a coincidence.

If the criteria is Yes No or Wait, then it appears that the Milk answers EVERY prayer.
If your smart, you may be seeing it now. Yes No or Wait. It may come the next day coincidentally. It may never come at all. It will come but in due time. Yes, No, or Wait, is ALWAYS true. It cannot be wrong!

Agreeing with Mania Guy. No real proof to say he does or doesn't. All opinions are based off what has happened to you, what you grew up learning, etc, so this thread is basically a big way to yell at another member for having an opinion.
