I'm going to start a company that sells stuff in My second Life
like we are going to raid with new clothing, furniture and various items.
I already got the modeling part I'm studying the scripting used in my second life now.
I just wanted to know if anyone here plays it and actually pays for things?

So you want to create like a CEF Company? Neat idea ..
When I first heard of the game, it sounded good .. Untill I found it you have to pay for almost everything nice... So I never started playing .. I think it's waste of money to pay for such things.

I would agree with you on that one because its not well known. If it were as
well known as Maple then ok but no one has ever heard oh it.

Second Life uses real money from your credit card account.
Saw a news article once about this guy that quit his real time job just so he can focus on Second Life.

They're getting money from players but don't seem to be spending that money on advertisements.

You make money in the virtual world which in turn can be exchange into real dollars.
| site wrote: | | As far as virtual worlds go, this is impressive, but it's not revolutionary. What is revolutionary about Second Life is that it's not only legal to make real money from your character's virtual endeavors -- it's encouraged. The exchange of your accumulated Linden dollars into U.S. dollars, Indian rupees or British pounds is built into the system through something called LindeX -- that's where you go to exchange your Linden dough into a form you can deposit in your real-world bank account. Yes -- your actual bank account where your "real-world" paycheck gets direct-deposited every couple of weeks. And it works the other way, too. If your avatar finds itself broke in Second Life, you can charge the U.S. dollar equivalent for a certain number of Linden dollars to your actual, real-life credit card and voila -- you're rolling in virtual cash. |
