I chose this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171016&Tpk=cooler%20master%20extreme%20power%20550

Is this good for a 4870?
Or should i pick a new one?
If so, which one?

Thanks a lot!

You're not on budget (apparently). Don't cheap out on the psu.

You'll probably want at least a 750W if you plan to use multiple video cards (which you will want and need to in the future). So you might as well buy the required power supply now.

I have no clue what the fuck I'm saying. All this information is from when I researched my computer. Shit's mostly information gathered from tomshardware.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139001&Tpk=corsair%20520w

or the 620w version if you're feeling spunky will do fine.

for a singel card 400-450watt corsair will be enought.
So go for somthing like that.

Or if you want to upgrade with an 4870 later on a 550watt
or a 650watt will be enough.

My friends runs it with a corsair 520watt.

I run the GTX 260 fine on the CMPSU-400CX. 30A on the +12v. You should be fine with the Cooler Master, but you may experience some instability during max GPU power draw (if the GPU is only pulling power from 1 rail; if the rails are combined, you should be fine for the most part).
