the very first game that scared me was gears of war when that body hanged and theres a cutscene also i had the volume to max.

The First Time I played Left 4 Dead with a couple of friends at my place having a Game Day with Full volume on my 42" Full High Definition TV, and I saw the Witch and I thought it was a baby on the ground and it popped up and scared the shits outa me...

Back a few years ago when i had a sega dreamcast. I use to play Resident Evil Code Veronica. WHen i would play it at night, i'd be scared as fuck. I would turn it off the turn all the times on. I was a little bitch.

Doom 3 was so nerve wracking to me when I first got it, I couldn't play it. Then I realized if I plowed through it like rambo it lost it's edge.

FEAR I blitzed through.

Dead Space was pretty good, but I pretty much had at least 100+ rounds of ammo at all times, and shitloads of cash.

F.E.A.R was fucking scary. I had the volume up really load and out of nowhere this girl just starts grabbing and shaking me.

I sometimes get scared by the game Resident Evil 4 XD.

Especially the fucking regenerators.

Also MANY people say that Silent Hill and Fatal Frame series are the scariest.

Fatal frame, the very first one. Holy fuck, I was like 12, and that game made me shit brix. Damn.. Never finished it though.

F.E.A.R. was not scary, although I had some moments I jumped. (But this might be because I played it when I was a lot older.)
