Well i am doing a project, and if an NBA PLAYER messes up their knee, what does the doctor usually do?
or just if someone messes up their knee.

xray then cast? (MRI?) Do they do it differently for athletes?

If they break their knee I think they push the leg and knee up while they lay on the floor and ask them if it hurts-just to check. Then they help them out of the game and you do not see them ever again until they post an update on the situation or the commentators say it. I do not know they probably give them some pain killers and a first aid temporary cast until they reach the actual physican and take x-rays. Then the doctor makes them a custom cast for the part that was confirmed broken or fractured.

If its just a small sprain or something they freeze the spot and they continue to play.

This is just from my knowledge up phy. ed and actual broken bone experience.

maybe body checkups on bones and your leg strength
x ray would be used for serious chases because it can cause cancer
