In the Hills have eyes it says that its loosely based on a true story.
Is this movie denouncing Truman's Enola Gay bombing of Hiroshima?
And is this referring to the mutations and cancers that were being formed by
radiation tests?

basing something off a true story does not mean it has any actual truths to it.

If it's a movie, they can make anything up right?
So can't they make you think it's based on a true story so you can watch the sequel? Cool

No, doing it twice was stupid.

It was anything BUT stupid. It saved American lives. The Americans at that time didn't know the radiation would eventually get back to us, they just thought it'd kill a bunch of innocent civilians at once.
Not stupid, just inhumane.

They didn't give Japan a chance to even think about the first bomb. In fact, what happened was Russia (who was our ally at the time) said they were going to go in. The USA not wanting any Communism influence in Japan said "Quick! drop a second bomb so they surrender so the russians don't go in!" The US didn't want Communism spreading out any further so we killed millions more to prevent it.

I understand how Hills Have Eyes could be based on a true story, but how can The Haunting In Connecticut be based on a true story?

Someone explain.

Yea it's a true story, they test nuclear testes there and there's still radiation and people become mutants.
