Snap crackle pop! Ahh, relief. Looking to relieve the tension and cringed up feeling in your knuckles? Looking to annoy those within earshot? Contrary to conventional wisdom, no scientific studies show that cracking your knuckles will lead to arthritis[1][2] (but see Stop Cracking Your Knuckles for other effects of knuckle cracking). So read up and crack away.

Wiki is edited by everybody. It is not a very trusting website.

After years of knuckle cracking constantly, it will give you arthritis.

What about when you're popping your thumb (It's a trick some people do) how does it keep popping?

Alot of bubbles?

Quote:
Kids may develop a habit of cracking their knuckles because they like the sound. The "crack" comes because of a change in the synovial fluid, the lubricant that bathes the joints. When finger bones are suddenly stretched apart, the space between the joints widens, and an air bubble forms in the synovial fluid. The bubble quickly bursts and makes a sharp sound.

So, no there are not a lot of bubbles. You create the bubbles.
