This is solved using "Vieta's formula" or whatever was called.

Replace the x with the numbers 1 till 10, calculate, find the difference between the previous x, add them up and devide by 10.

N = 2.21

x=2
N^2 = 16-3.14+7

N = 9.21

x=4
N^2 = 256 - 3.14 + 7
N^2 = 259.86
N = 16.12

x=5
N^2 = 625 - 3.14 + 7

N = 25.08

x=6
N^2 = 1296 - 3.14 + 7
N^2 = 1299.86
N = 36.05

x=7
N^2 = 2401 - 3.14 + 7

N^2 = 4099.86
N = 64.03

x=9
N^2 = 6561 - 3.14 + 7

N = 100.02

2.21+4.46+9.21+16.12+25.08+36.05+49.04+64.03+81.02+100.02/10 = 388.24/10 = 38.824
That is the Average of N if x=1 to x=10

Well done. But you made a couple of mistakes. I wanted the average of the number of n per x. And it was 3.14x
