| All Windows versions I've worked with (98se, 2000, XP and up) allow you to use the print screen button to copy your screen into the clip board which you can then paste (Ctrl + V) into paint... which you can then crop how you wish.

| Screenhunter is a good product as it allows you to choose it's regions of capture, this avoiding the need to crop in paint.

| Would be cool if there was a program that you didn't have to go and open paint..

So instead of just hitting a button on your computer and opening up a program for saving pictures, you'd rather install a program, run it, and have it automatically save a picture to your computer?
